Nick Cox
Raised in Bentonville, Arkansas, Nick is a fine artist and designer specializing in oil paints, rug tufting, and screen printing. He combines these mediums in innovative ways to create visually stunning works with thought-provoking meanings. Much of his work is inspired by his experiences of being religious and queer and navigating the complex intersection of seemingly opposing communities. Pulling from these emotions and past experiences, Nick makes art for the ultimate goal of inviting conversation among viewers that leads to understanding. He believes that understanding is one of the greatest forms of love possible and finds fulfillment in making art that can lead to said love. The artist has earned his BFA at John Brown University, double majoring in Graphic Design and Art & Illustration with an emphasis in Fine Arts. Nick is an award-winning artist being featured in several publications and exhibitions, including his personal gallery, God Why Am I Like This.
